John Heron served as Managing Director in FBR’s Consumer Investment Banking Division prior to starting Greenfield Partners. Before that, he served as the Managing Partner of Heron & Company, a private investment company focused on control investments in emerging lifestyle consumer business.
John’s extensive entrepreneurial consumer experience includes retail, apparel, fitness, distribution, publishing, direct marketing, food and beverage. His considerable vision in consumer products and marketing led to the formation of the Balance Bar Company, which after becoming a public company was ultimately purchased by Kraft.
Prior to Heron & Company, John served in various executive capacities, including 10 years leading dramatic growth as Executive Vice President of Barton Cotton, a publishing and national direct marketing firm.
John graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in Political Science.
