Malcolm Bund, managing director, has over 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private placements, management consulting, valuations of private companies and private equity. He has owned and operated companies in building materials and the automotive aftermarket. He has purchased divisions from NYSE companies as well as closely held private companies. During his career he has raised $20 million in private equity and $100 million in senior debt for 12 companies his partnerships controlled. He also has experience in buying and selling businesses, valuations, private placements, turnaround management and succession planning.
Mr. Bund operated a series of limited partnerships for Bund Capital from 1986 to 2004. Prior to that time, and since 2004, he managed a boutique consulting and investment practice, Malcolm Bund & Associates, Inc.
Mr. Bund was a member of the Washington Baltimore Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, The Chesapeake Chapter of WPO, and a recipient of the 2002 Joseph Wharton Award. During the 1970s he worked for a company that managed the affairs of professional athletes and participated in organizational and strategy studies for amateur and professional sports organizations.
Previously, Mr. Bund worked in the Private Business Advisory Services Group in the New York office of KPMG Peat Marwick. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
